Those are the Worldwide VW trim levels, in the UK and US they are different though.

In the U.K. I put the differences down to cost of conversion from LHD to RHD (ie the 1.8TSi Skoda Superb manual and automatic we don’t get. We get the 1.4TSi, 1.6TDi, 2.0TDi and 2.0TSi (auto only) but the cost of engineering for such an expected low volume of cars who would most likely go for the small petrol or one of the diesel it wasn’t worth the cost), also Ireland doesn’t always get the same trim levels in the U.K. Which I put down to taxation of importing into Ireland, the tax charged on emission and likely number of cars sold.

Worth baring in mind that even in the E.U. Different countries will have minor variances to spec regarding climate, etc...
